Los Angeles Lakers: 5 reasons why Jason Kidd is the perfect coach for LeBron
Jason Kidd knows what it takes to make the players around him better
Jason Kidd led the New Jersey Nets (during his playing days) to two straight NBA Finals appearances with no other All-Stars on the roster – in fairness, Kenyon Martin and Richard Jefferson were quite good.
He helped to develop both Martin and Jefferson (who were quite young at the time) and other Nets players into formidable NBA players. This is the type of develop and coaching outlook that the Lakers need moving forward, especially if there’s a chance they fail on attracting another big-name free agent.
This Lakers team, excluding LeBron, have far more talent (in potential) than any team Jason Kidd played for during his career. There’s no question that Kidd could help LeBron in getting this young roster to the next level.
