As the off-season quickly approaches, let’s take a look at 11 big-name stars that the Los Angeles Lakers could target over the next few months

Coming off one of the their most disappointing seasons in history, the Los Angeles Lakers have a tall task this summer. Not only do they have the dilemma of stabilizing their front office and coaching staff (after Magic Johnson resigned and then management essentially fired Luke Walton), but they also have to surround LeBron James with the supporting cast that could, at the very least, get them into the playoffs next season.

While that all sounds unlikely to be done in one off-season, the Lakers can’t really afford to waste another season of LeBron’s latter prime. He signed a four-year deal, and the Lakers can’t burn the second-straight season.

Even though the Lakers swung big – and missed hugely – at the NBA Trade Deadline by placing all their marbles in their pursuit of Anthony Davis, there will be a market for them during the summer to find that elusive second start to stick next to LeBron.

Los Angeles will have big money to spend in free agency and, depending who you ask, has quite a bit of assets to work with when it comes to the trade market. But which stars will the Los Angeles Lakers realistically be in play for? Here are 11 names that the Lakers could target heading into the off-season.
