The Oklahoma City Thunder may have had an disappointing end to the 2018-19 NBA season, but there is much to build off of. If Russell Westbrook can get his shooting right, and it’s been an issue for a while now, there’s no question that this team could eventually work their way up to be a real contender in the Western Conference.
However, for the time being, the Thunder have to keep adding around the edges. If they can’t chase the big fish, improving in the late first round will have to do. Adding a player like Talen Horton-Tucker could be a step in doing that. Horton-Tucker has good size for his position, and could probably play some 3 at the next level.
He has some work to do when it comes to his offensive game; he only shot 30 percent from 3-point range on four attempts per game. That’s somewhat concerning if you’re going to play the 2-3 at the next level, but that’s something that could be worked on.
