A fourth pick in the first round, and the Celtics could nearly run out a first team of all rookies next season. Jokes aside, if the Celtics make a pick here, don’t be surprised if they take another shot at a player in the backcourt. Luguentz Dort is the type of hard-nosed player that fits into what the Celtics and Brad Stevens look for.
And Dort had a great freshman year at Arizona State, averaging 16 points, four rebounds and two assists on 41 percent shooting from the field and 31 percent from 3-point range. He needs to work on his offensive efficiency, but is a player that could eventually build up to being a solid contributor on a good team.
Dort is the type of player that could go anywhere from the mid-first-round to the late-first to potentially the early-second. It really just depends on how the draft board plays out and if there are any trades.
