If the Atlanta Hawks go on the clock, at No. 7, with Cam Reddish still on the board at this point in the draft, it would bring an interesting discussion. While there are a number of ways this team could go with the draft board falling in this manner, there’s no doubt in my mind that they would run to turn in their draft card with Cam Reddish as the selection.
Reddish, while he may have disappointed during his freshman season at Duke, is one of the most talented players in this draft class and was highly touted coming out of high school. The raw talent is there, and perhaps he wasn’t used properly as he had to share the spotlight next to Zion Williamson and R.J. Barrett this past year.
For the most part, the most disappointing areas of his game revolved around his rebounding and efficiency. However, in fairness, it’s probably difficult to get in rhythm when you don’t have the ball in your hands all that much. Reddish averaged 14 points, four rebounds and two assists on just 36 percent shooting from the field. Not ideal.
