There’s a good chance that the New Orleans Pelicans will have multiple picks in the first-round of the 2019 NBA Draft, especially if they elect to move Anthony Davis on or just before draft night, so there’s a chance this could be the first of many picks on an eventful night.
With the expectation that Davis won’t be on the roster next season, the team could begin to look for his replacement. While there’s really not one prospect that could fill the big void that Davis will leave on the Pelicans’ roster, Jaxson Hayes could be a good player to take a chance on.
Hayes has the raw tools to be a really effective player at the next level, and happens to be one of the most athletic players in the entire draft. He is an overall raw prospect, especially on the offensive end, but could provide valuable defense from day 1. Jaxon Hayes could make the Pelicans happy on draft night.
