13. New Orleans Pelicans: Dump Davis
That’s it. Had the whole Anthony Davis drama not broken out and gotten way out of control, the New Orleans Pelicans would probably be in the postseason. The fact that the Pelicans didn’t play Davis much, and that when they did he didn’t seem intent on performing, says that there needs to be a breakup during this offseason.
Davis, while his market value may have diminished slightly during the dramatics during the season, is still one of the top talents in the league, and is arguably one of the most underrated players still at this point in his career.
The Pelicans are going to be able to get rid of the money and the headache that Davis presents by trading him in the offseason, the hope is that they can get a decent return which could jumpstart their rebuild.
