They match up well

Offensively, the Bucks hurt you the most with two things: Giannis and transition opportunities in the open floor. The Celtics have the ingredients to match up with both of them. Let’s face it, there’s no one stopping the Greek Freek, the only thing you can do is to make it tough on him and play solid team defense.

With the likes of Al Horford, Marcus Morris, Semi Ojeleye, and Jaylen Brown the Celtics have multiple bodies, which to a certain extent matches up to his size and length, that they can throw on Giannis.

Another essential factor to consider is that with the collective length that the Celtics have on the floor it avoids blatant mismatches that Giannis can advantage of. Boston’s turnover efficiency of 12.7 percent (3rd in the league) during the regular season coupled with the fact that they were successfully able to restrict Milwaukee to a half-court offense last playoffs gives credence to the argument that they have the tools necessary to stifle Milwaukee’s fast-break opportunities.
