Heading into a rematch of last year’s Western Conference Finals, here are six storylines to follow as the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets tip-off

After a Houston Rockets 100-93 victory over the Utah Jazz in Game 5, and a Golden State Warriors 129-110 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 6, NBA fans across the globe are set up for one of the best sequels since Toy Story 2 (it was good and you know it!).

With that, let’s take a look at the six biggest storylines heading into this matchup.

Is this going to be the best series in the playoffs

A pretty simple one to start off here. The best series in the NBA playoffs is, with very little exception, reserved for the NBA Finals. Last year was different, with both Conference Finals being better than the NBA Finals, and this year is looking to be the same. Rockets vs. Warriors is always a show, no matter when it’s on, and this one could end up stealing the entire postseason.

Granted, it’s not like this series doesn’t have any competition. Bucks vs. Celtics and Raptors vs. Sixers both could be interesting, and the two winners of those series could have an all-time great seven-game battle.

Still, it’s hard to bet against what is arguably the two best teams in the Western Conference squaring up against each other, and regardless of whether it’s going to be the best series or not, it’s definitely worth a watch.
