How healthy will the Splash Brothers be?

Both Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson went down with ankle injuries in the Warriors’ Game 6 win over the Clippers, and head coach Steve Kerr has said they are questionable for Game 1.

Not only that, but the reports he gave during the answer were a little confusing too. He said that both Curry and Thompson were walking around the Warriors facility on Saturday, and at first, it seemed like he was going to say they would play.

Then, he said that Thompson’s injury was much more severe than the training staff first thought and that both he and Curry were limping at the facility on Saturday.

Taking in the facts that Thompson’s injury is more severe than first thought, that Curry has a history of ankle problems, that this is only Game 1 of what looks to be a long series, and that if the Warriors get past the Rockets they still have two more series to go, there’s a chance that we might not see Curry or Thompson in Game 1.

And that’s fine, the Warriors can get a win without them, but considering that the Splash Brothers are such an important part in the offensive and defensive schemes of this Warriors franchise, they’ll need to make a return sooner rather than later for the Warriors to have any hope of advancing to the Conference Finals.
