Kyrie’s future will be decided in the second round

There’s been a lot of talk about Kyrie’s free agency all season long but it seems to have quieted down in the playoffs as Irving and the Celtics have found their mojo and are currently in a tough second-round battle with the Bucks.

Now, facing a 3-1 series deficit, it’s very possible that Boston’s season could be over in the next few days and if that’s the case, Kyrie may be entering his final game as a Celtic.

I know we’re not going to know how free agency is going to go until July but I’m going to overreact and over-simplify this by saying if Boston loses in the second round, Kyrie is outta there. Whether that would be the smart move or not is another topic entirely as on paper, Boston is set to contend for the foreseeable future but with teams like the Bucks, Sixers and Raptors (if Kawhi stays) on the rise, Irving may see this as his chance to “escape” to the west and reunite with LeBron or to form a more formidable contender in New York with KD!

But, the C’s might still win this series (though unlikely) with the Bucks and make me look like an idiot in which case I’ll need to go and overreact to something else, like…
