Taking a closer look at what each Eastern Conference NBA team is concerned about as they make a push towards the Conference Finals

As June nears the playoff race is tightening. For the first time in a long time, there is no clear-cut favorite in any conference, most notably the East. Toronto, Milwaukee, and Philly have all looked at times like potential candidates to take Cleveland’s spot as the new Eastern Conference champs. However, a lot of basketball is still to be played.

Milwaukee’s series looks the most clear-cut. Giannis is dominating at a rate not seen since black and white film. Attacking the paint, he has been next to unstoppable, and with a competent supporting cast of dynamic scorers and defenders, it’s hard to see them blowing this series.

However, Boston has one of the most dynamic players in the league in Kyrie Irving. While he hasn’t played up to his standards so far, Boston fans will hope the pressure of being 3-1 down will bring out the best version of himself.

Toronto and Philly are in a heated battle, with each side showing strengths, and fighting tooth and nail for every win. Kawhi Leonard is reminding everyone in the NBA why he was considered the best two-way player in the game. His efficiency on the offensive end is staggering, and defensively he has been just as potent.

The Sixers have gotten key contributions from Jimmy Buckets, however, the rest of the squad has been inconsistent, most notably their superstar big man Joel Embiid. While he has been nursing a number of aliments, Embiid’s shown glimpses of his all-star starter form, and Philly will look to him for inspiration as the series progresses.

Here is what each team needs to do in order to win their series.
