Honorable Mention: DeMar DeRozan, San Antonio Spurs
DeMar DeRozan is one of the few true mid-range scorers left in the NBA (a league which has all but abandoned the art of the mid-range) and he really does have the smoothest of mid-range games, being able to effortlessly get to his spots and rise up for a jumper or fade-away. As well as this, he also has a strong floater game and is a crafty and occasional explosive finisher inside.
Honorable Mention: Jimmy Butler, Philadelphia 76ers
Butler can consistently get to the rim and finish in traffic and through contact thanks to his strength. He’s also great at stopping on a dime for a pull-up or step back jumper (he creates a ton of separation with this move). Jimmy is at his smooth best, creating shots for himself and others late in close games as he has established himself as Philly’s closer (especially in the playoffs).
Honorable Mention: Jamal Murray, Denver Nuggets
Murray is one of the better tough shot makers when he has it going and is really blossoming into one of the better scoring guards in these playoffs. He has a number of go-to moves including an array of one-footed runners, floaters, and fadeaways which adds some flair to his already smooth offensive game.
