There’s a very good chance that the Los Angeles Lakers elect to move this pick in an attempt to surround LeBron James with more talent heading into year 2 of this experiment, but if they stay pat at 11 Romeo Langford could be a good roll of the dice for a team that is in need of young talent.
Langford averaged 17 points and five rebounds on 45 percent shooting from the field during his freshman season at Indiana. He only shot 27 percent from 3-point range, and that is certainly something that will bring some doubt about his potential at the next level, but if he proves he has a fixable deep jumper that shouldn’t be a deal breaker.
At this point, the Lakers just need young talent. And Langford has the potential that few other prospects at this point in the NBA Draft carry. It’s a good bet for the Lakers.
