NBA Mock Draft 4.0: Knicks fall out of top 3; Bol jumps into top 10
In what would be considered a best-case scenario for the Phoenix Suns, in the event that they don’t move up in the draft lottery, Ja Morant is still on the board and available to be selected after Zion and Barrett are taken.
There have been whispers that the Suns prefer Morant over Zion anyways, so this actually works for the team without them having to rationalize their decision to the media or their fans had they won the draft lottery and taken the point guard over the generational talent. Morant fits right in with what the Suns are building and would be a day 1 starter.
A starting five of Morant, Devin Booker, T.J. Warren, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Deandre Ayton would be one of the most interesting young lineups in the Western Conference next season. If new head coach Monty Williams can push the right buttons, it wouldn’t be surprising to see this team take a decent-sized jump next season.
