An optimistic future

While you may think a couple of minor changes and improvements to this squad won’t really do much in terms of their championship aspirations, remember that Golden State will likely be without Kevin Durant next year (and possibly Klay and Boogie too) so that really opens up the Wstern Conference and at the moment.

Houston seems like the most likely team to come in and assume control of the conference and establish themselves as the “best in the West”. Of course, again, this is in the event that the Warriors take a significant step back. And even then, Golden State will still be in contention. Houston could still very well be the favorites to come out of the conference heading into next season.

All of a sudden, those few minor improvements could prove to be the difference between a potential NBA Finals run and another disappointing premature playoff exit.
