Most Improved Player of the Year: De’Aaron Fox, D’Angelo Russell, Pascal Siakam
Sometimes everyone’s predictions are the same because the choice is obvious. While I would argue the D’Angelo Russell had the best season, that’s not really what we are looking at. Pascal Siakam improved tremendously in every category from last year, and he has earned this award more than anyone.
Siakam brought his points average up to double digits for the first time in his career, as well as having the opportunity to start in almost every game he played in. Siakam increased his rebounds from 5 per game to 7, and he bumped up his 3-point accuracy by almost 10 percent.
With all the improvements that Siakam has made to his game, he has become an important part to this Raptors team, and he’ll need to keep that level of play up if the Raptors want to get past the Bucks.
