Attack the Draft

Once the Suns’ front office is able to acquire Karl-Anthony Towns from Minnesota, the most important task is having a productive 2019 NBA Draft. Since Towns will be more of a power forward than a center, so it would make sense for Phoenix to look to try and fill the center position via the Draft.

With the 6th pick in the Draft, Phoenix could look to select Bol Bol. Bol could become a supreme addition to the team’s core of Devin Booker, Karl Anthony-Towns, and Josh Jackson. Bol could provide the Suns with an excellent young big that could plug in as a complementary piece on both ends of the floor. If the injury concerns are too much, perhaps a player like Jaxson Hayes would also make sense.

Or, if the Suns wait until the second round to take a center, two prospects to watch when selecting at No. 32 overall are Naz Reid or Tacko Fall. Both Reid and Fall are potential first-round talents that would need some time to develop into NBA rotation players.
