While many were quick to pile on the Oklahoma City Thunder after another first-round playoff exit, let’s not forget that injuries likely forced this team into that. Had Paul George and Russell Westbrook been healthy, it would’ve been interesting to see if this team could compete with some of the other impressive West teams in the playoffs.
Nevertheless, what’s done is done and the Thunder have to get better. Two places where they could do so is by adding shooting and depth to the backcourt. Nickeil Alexander-Walker could offer both of that to the Thunder next season.
He by no means is the answer to their struggles but could help offer a solution.
