3. LeBron’s One Man Show (2015 NBA Finals)
LeBron dominating in the NBA Finals is nothing new, but in 2015, things were a little different, as James’ second and third best players – Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love – were both sidelined in this series (Irving would get injured in overtime of Game 1).
Already facing a 67-win juggernaut, James and the Cavs were expected to essentially fold and lose the series in rather quick fashion. But LeBron wasn’t having any of that as he rattled off back-to-back historic performances in Games 2 and 3 to actually give Cleveland a 2-1 series lead. They would eventually fall in six games but LeBron would put up one heck of a fight, averaging around 36/13/9 for the series.
He was so dominant in this series, that many people (including myself) feel that he should have taken home finals MVP, even though it came in a losing effort.
