9. Derrick Rose, Minnesota Timberwolves

The youngest player to ever win the MVP award, Derrick Rose once looked primed to sit at the top of the league for a very long time. Then, a few horrible injuries to his knees, Rose saw his numbers, and therefore his value, decline.

For a slashing, two-way guard like Rose, knee injuries are almost always the final nail in your career. Almost always.

In the 2018-19 season, Rose found a revitalized role as a key veteran in the Minnesota Timberwolves locker room, and he was able to regain a small part of his former glory, in no small part due to the fact that he added a 3-point shot to his arsenal.

During last season, 18 points on 37 percent 3-point shooting and 48 percent field goal shooting, all of which are the highest marks he’s gotten since his initial injury in 2012. Along with those numbers, Rose also averaged one steal, four assists, and two rebounds a game.

While Rose is certainly not playing at the same level he was in 2010-11, he would still provide an added boost to the rotation of whatever team he signs with, not to mention the invaluable leadership he would give as a veteran.
