4. Klay Thompson

Klay Thompson is another very interesting option for the Nets, but for a different reason than previously mentioned players. During the Golden State Warriors dynasty, we’ve seen Thompson be an incredible player, who’s had incredible moments. However, we’ve also seen him be a second, or sometimes third, option for much of the run.

Many in the league are curious to see just how far Thompson could carry a team if given the reigns. He is without a doubt one of the best shooters the league has seen in a long time, and his defense isn’t much of a drop off from his shooting. That makes it seem like Thompson would be someone Brooklyn could build around.

However, the Nets could still sign another star player and have the league’s best second option as well. Thompson is a great Plan B for any team in free agency but could end up making a very good Plan A as well. The Nets could possibly be the team to finally show us just what he’s capable of.

Many around the league don’t see Thompson leaving the Warriors, but if he were to decide to sign elsewhere, there isn’t a team out there more appealing than what the Nets could offer.
