With the chance that the Celtics could lose both Kyrie Irving and Terry Rozier in the same summer, I believe it’s important for this team to help safeguard that event by taking a point guard at some point during the NBA Draft.
While taking Carsen Edwards might be seen as somewhat of a reach here at No. 22, there might not be a team out there more prepared to utilize an undersized guard than Brad Steven and the Celtics.
They’ve had success with it in the past and could utilize that formula once again to potentially find success with Edwards. If nothing else, Edwards could be an explosive bench player in the future.
