3. Kemba Walker

On paper, not many players in the league make more sense for the Knicks than Kemba Walker. For starters, Walker is a native of New York, born in The Bronx and playing high school basketball in New York City as well. Also, Walker would give New York a star point guard, much like Russell, to run the offense. However, unlike Russell, Walker has proven he has what it takes to win games and run a team on his own.

Lastly, Walker brings a certain level of professionalism and focus that not many players possess. He has spent his entire career with the Charlotte Hornets and has done nothing but good for the franchise. In a big market like New York, a star needs to be able to take care of business and ignore all the distractions around him.

Walker is coming off of an All-NBA season, averaging 25.6 points, 5.9 assists, and 4.4 rebounds. He is capable of almost anything on the offensive side of the ball. His defense, on the other hand, leaves something to be desired, but the Knicks could build a stronger defensive team around him to make up for that.

If the Knicks want to bring in a player who will lead their team, fit in with the city and fans and help them build towards a championship then Walker is the right guy. He would make a great pairing with anyone New York decides to bring to town with him.
