Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks

MVP or not, Giannis Antetokounmpo is eligible for the five-year, $247 million extension from Milwaukee due to his appearance on the All-NBA first team.

With the new stadium, the recent success, and the buzz around Bucks basketball in Milwaukee, both sides should be ecstatic to sign the supermax deal. He is not hitting free agency until 2021, but by that time, maybe Giannis has developed the jumper everyone has dreamed of and the money is validated, possibly with a title?

If he keeps racking up awards as well, his money in the supermax could increase going into free agency. This contract should not be an issue for either side, as long as the Bucks get a few guys locked up on deals to play alongside Antetokounmpo, the deal should be signed.

The Greek Freak has brought Milwaukee basketball out of mediocrity and now is getting the Bucks to contend for NBA championships. The deal should be done as soon as he hits free agency, no questions asked by either side.
