As the 2019 NBA Draft approaches, we explore four value picks for contenders that are picking late in the first round

The 2019 NBA Draft is all about maximizing the value of every pick. For different teams that may mean different things; where one team might be looking for prospects with the highest upside, others may covet the player with the highest floor.

In most cases, the NBA’s title contenders will be looking for players who can contribute to winning from day one. These teams will also generally be picking later in the draft, which makes their talent pool a little thinner and that value a little harder to find.

Every draft has its steals, though, from mid-major studs who go unnoticed to big-time college stars with a flaw or two that can’t be overlooked. Whatever the case may be, these underappreciated prospects are out there, and the league’s top teams will be out to find them.

With the 2019 draft just days away, here are some NBA-ready prospects that should be available for the title contenders.
