Los Angeles Lakers: ‘Unsexy’ moves LA should make this offseason
By Cole Raines
Austin Rivers
Another two-way guard, Austin Rivers would be a nice piece for the Lakers as well. A career 34.7 percent 3-point shooter, and a solid defender. He would fulfill a good bench guard for the Lakers.
Similar to Brogdon, he played off a ball dominant star as well. He has playoff experience as well, three seasons with the Clippers, and one with the Rockets, he could be a nice asset for the Lakers to bring off the bench.
Rivers signed on a minimum deal with the Rockets, so any increase of that would probably interest him. See if he would be willing to take another minimum to compete for a championship, it probably will not be likely, offer up a two-year, $8 million contract, making $4 million each year should suffice for the former Rocket.
