The Bulls took a UNC guard, not air Jordan, but Coby White with the 7th pick of the draft.

The Bulls have been looking for a defensive minded guard to pair with LaVine, and Coby White fit the bill. Not only is he a good on-ball defender, but White can also play both off and on the ball offensively which fits great for an offense centered around LaVine. White displayed good transition skills, shooting, and finishing in the lane. His ceiling is a scoring point guard on a championship contending team with his two-way skills.

His floor is if defensively, the pick and roll still give him fits, the defensive problems may cause him to be a role player off the bench for scoring and creating offense, but there is certainly a rotation spot in the league for him.

NBA comparison: Gilbert Arenas

Chauncey Billups had some wild NBA comparisons during the draft show, but I thought this was one of the better comparisons he had made throughout the night. White is a little smaller than Arenas, but the shooting and penetration ability is very similar to Gilbert Arenas. Arenas showed he could play off the ball just as well he could play on the ball, similar to what White showed at UNC.
