NBA: One way each team can improve next season
Orlando Magic – Find a proper ball handler
Nikola Vucevic is one of the best centers in the league and Aaron Gordon is an up and coming star. Evan Fournier and Terrence Ross fit wonderfully as role players and Jonathan Isaac and Mo Bamba are young studs in the making.
The Orlando Magic made the playoffs for the first time in seven years. They lost in the first round to the Raptors but this was a huge improvement for the Magic. The only thing missing from this promising team is a solid point guard. Right now D.J. Augustin is the starter at the 1 and former No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz is the reserve. Both can play but there are so many better options out there for a point guard, especially when a ball handler is the last piece of the puzzle the Magic need.
One other slight concern for Orlando is Nikola Vucevic’s impending free agency, but there has been no indication of him not re-signing with the team, meaning that the Magic won’t be getting any worse this offseason. If Orlando can get their hands on a high IQ guard this offseason it is nothing but improvement ahead.
