New Orleans Pelicans – Prepare for a bright future

Letting go of Anthony Davis might’ve been the best thing that’s ever happened to the New Orlean’s Pelicans. Along with getting potentially five draft picks from the Lakers and three from the Hawks, the Pelicans got an entire young core in Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and Josh Hart.

New Orleans used the picks for this year’s draft to take Jaxson Hayes and Nickeil Alexander-Walker in the first round. Oh, and they won the lottery and got generational talent in Zion Williamson. No big deal. The Pelicans also have many future picks and an All-Star shooting guard in Jrue Holiday, who if they chose to, could also be traded for more prospects and picks down the road.

With so much in store for the Pelicans down the road, it might not be blasphemous to think that they could win a championship with all their assets in the next 5-10 years. All in all, it is a great time to be a Pels fan.
