Detroit Pistons – Improve the backcourt
The Detroit Pistons have one of the leagues best big man duos in the league with Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond, but it isn’t enough to get them anywhere above the league’s average. They need to provide some help from outside the arc in order to give the 5 on the court some balance.
Right now everything revolves around what goes on in the paint which limits the teams scoring options. Opposing teams can capitalize on that by focusing defense where it needs to be focused. Reggie Jackson is a serviceable point guard, but there are better suitors out there for the 1 and 2 spots.
The Pistons also don’t have much cap room so signing someone as talented as Kemba Walker may be out of the picture. If they’re lucky they may be able to get a lesser tier guard such as J.J. Redick or Terry Rozier. One thing’s for sure, Detroit’s stuck in the middle of the pack unless they can get some help where they desperately need it.
