Nikola Vucevic (UFA)

Talk about a contract year performance. Last season, the Vooch put together what was easily the best season of his career, averaging over 20 points and 12 rebounds on his way to his first All-Star appearance; all while leading the Magic to their first playoff berth in seven years.

The 29-year-old’s situation is pretty interesting. The Magic drafted his supposed replacement in Mo Bamba a year ago, but it now looks like the second-year man out of Texas might have to be kept waiting in the wings for a little longer.

If the Lakers strike out on some of the top-level free agents, they might want to chase a guy like Vucevic, who although isn’t worth max money, might command just that from potential suitors. The Celtics are reportedly also interested in the big man if he doesn’t get a deal done with Orlando; this will likely mean Terry Rozier won’t stick around as well.

The C’s right now have a gaping hole at the 5 spot (unless the Time Lord is an adequate replacement); Nikola Vucevic should fill that spot perfectly and function as the second option behind Jayson Tatum.

Verdict: Nikola Vucevic takes his talents to Beantown.
