NBA Trade Rumors: Exploring five teams that should be all-in for Russell Westbrook, in the event that he hits the trade block

It’s not every day that a former NBA MVP (in their prime) gets traded or even hits the trade block. In fact, the last time a former NBA MVP in their prime was even traded (not including sign and trades) was Kevin Garnett, when he was dealt from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Boston Celtics ahead of the 2007-08 season.

But, we could be on the verge of it happening once again. After the Los Angeles Clippers got a free agency commitment from Kawhi Leonard, they also acquired Paul George from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Which now leaves the Thunder in an awkward situation, where they could be ready to hit the reset button after losing one half of their dynamic duo (and without a possible replacement). Should they elect to move forward with moving Westbrook – which ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski believes is a possibility – there will likely be a robust market.
