Seeing the Miami Heat on this list shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. In fact, we already have some confirmation from a local writer that they would be interested in the event that Russell Westbrook, in fact, hits the trade block.

The big question, as is the case for most teams on this list, would then come down to the Thunder’s asking price. And that probably largely depends on what the market is for Russ. If it is indeed robust, there could be a bidding war. However, if his contract is a turnoff, which could be the case, considering he’s due roughly $205 million over the next four years, that’s when a team like the Heat could emerge as a real threat.

If it comes to a bidding war, Miami simply doesn’t have the trade assets to compete with some of the other teams around the league that could be interested.
