Surprisingly, the Minnesota Timberwolves will still be heading into the 2019-20 NBA season without their point guard of the future. After not drafting one in the first round of the draft, and then missing on D’Angelo Russell in free agency, the Wolves still need to address the position.

At the same time, there have been whispers that they would also be interested in possibly moving Andrew Wiggins. The Wolves being a landing spot largely relies on whether the Thunder would be interested in taking a chance on the former No. 1 pick.

If so, they could be a natural partner. Perhaps OKC could provide Wiggins with a fresh start and Westbrook could give Minnesota the point guard they’ve been looking for. It makes sense on paper.
