3. Brooklyn Nets

There are two ways of looking at how the Brooklyn Nets improved their roster. For the long-term, Nets fans have to be ecstatic. Getting Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving puts the Nets as title contenders for the foreseeable future.

But in the present, the Nets are going to be pretty good, but not great, at least until Durant returns from injury. Yes, Irving is an upgrade over D’Angelo Russell and yes, signing DeAndre Jordan provides a great rim-protecting, lob catching tandem with Jarrett Allen.

However, this team will be only good enough to make the playoffs in a mediocre Eastern Conference, but will not be good enough to beat the likes of the 76ers or the Bucks.
