4. Carmelo Anthony

I know, I know, the last few years haven’t exactly been kind to Carmelo Anthony. It hasn’t worked for him in Oklahoma City or in Houston. But if a team can get Carmelo to buy into coming off of the bench and get him to channel his inner Lou Williams, then maybe it will work out.

That is a big maybe, but if it doesn’t work out, Carmelo will be a cheap risk and the team that signs him can follow the Thunder and the Rocket’s lead in waiving him early in the season. If it does work out though, whoever signs him could get a guy who knows how to score at the basket, midrange, and from deep.

If Carmelo wants another chance in the NBA, he will have to check his ego. He’s no longer a No. 1 option. Hopefully, he gets another shot.
