Even though the Brooklyn Nets had arguably the best summer in the NBA, there are still a few concerns that remain after inking Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving
The Brooklyn Nets had the most productive free agency in the Eastern Conference this year as they added two of the most talked-about superstars in the NBA; Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Just when we thought it could not get any better, they proceeded to sign defensive anchor DeAndre Jordan to help compliment their star-studded lineup.
This intense roster shake-up was not free of cost, however, as they lost their emerging superstar point guard D’Angelo Russell and key role player DeMarre Carroll. A team that seemed to be on the come up last year with an energetic and young starting lineup complemented by experienced veterans on the bench, has now quickly turned into a championship contender for the next four years (unless none of this works out and they trade away their superstars).
Although it all looks great on paper, there are still some serious questions about the success of this team. Will Kevin Durant return from his devastating injury just as prolific as he’s been until now? Will Kyrie Irving’s continual off the court issues in the past affect the team chemistry? How in the world did DeAndre Jordan all of a sudden start making his free throws?!
