Brooklyn Nets: Addressing the biggest concerns after securing Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving
By Amin Golnabi
2019-20 outlook
Look, we all know that no one can match Kevin Durant’s performance while he’s out this year. However, the core of this team is promising and will continue to grow. It’s going to be very interesting to see how coach Kenny Atkinson manages this deep roster.
I predict this team to win around 45 games this year and finish in the range of 4th-6th seed as long as they don’t get plagued by other injuries. They may be just one step under the top Eastern Conference contenders like Philadelphia, Milwaukee, and Boston, but I would not be surprised if they make a deep playoff run (even without Durant).
So as long as DJ can knock down 70 percent of his free throws next year, the Nets will be a threat. They might not be the championship threat that many expect them to be in 2020-21, but the Nets will still make some noise in the East this season.
