In the latest episode of the Around the Arc podcast, we take a closer look at the 19 best NBA duos and explain why the Lakers will be just fine
The 2018-19 NBA season was completed a little over a month ago, but the lingering effects of what transpired in the NBA Finals was very much felt during the offseason thus far. You could go on to say that the NBA will never be the same.
At the very least, it will certainly be different this upcoming season – with the evaporation of the Golden State Warriors Big 4 and the creation of three new Big 2s, in both Los Angeles teams and in Brooklyn.
The super team era in the NBA might be long gone, but the super big 2 era (which doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue) might have just erupted in the league. The Clippers created a dynamic duo this summer with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. The Nets created theirs by luring Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, and the Lakers landed theirs by trading for Anthony Davis.
Plus, there are a number of other NBA teams with at least a pretty good duo on their current roster. In fact, most of the teams in the league right now have at least one budding star, which is great for the league’s parity.
In the latest episode of the Around The Arc Podcast, we explore the best star duos in the NBA while also touching on other topics from around the league, including why the Lakers will be perfectly fine without a well-rounded roster around LeBron and AD.
Thanks to a crazy offseason, the 2019-20 NBA season is lining up to be one for the record books. Don’t forget to keep up with Around The Arc podcast as we inch closer to the start of the new campaign.
