Which team should be considered the favorites in the Eastern Conference, between the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers? We break it all down

With NBA free agency now behind us, it is now time for us to break down each individual conference to determine which team is the best – of who should be the favorite – heading into the 2019-20 season. Specifically, in this piece, we will be focusing on the best team in the Eastern Conference.

Last season the Eastern Conference was a wide-open four-team slugfest between the Milwaukee Bucks (1st), Toronto Raptors (2nd), Philadelphia 76ers (3rd), and the Boston Celtics (4th), with each team having a legitimate chance of making it out of the conference. Ultimately, the Raptors were able to prevail, then going on to win the NBA championship.

However, with the departures of Kawhi Leonard and Kyrie Irving, the Raptors and the Celtics will likely be taking significant steps back this upcoming season. Which leaves the battle of best in the East to be between the Bucks and the Sixers.

To break these teams down we will be comparing them through the following categories: talent, offense, defense, depth, and chemistry. So let the battle begin!
