Danny Green, Los Angeles Lakers

Position: SG

Age: 32

The Los Angeles Lakers signing of Danny Green was one of the better acquisitions of the 2019 NBA offseason. Green is one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA and is one of the better 3-point shooters. Green gives the Lakers versatility and postseason experience as the hope is that this team will be gearing up for a long playoff run this upcoming season.

Green is a great signing as he is also a great fit next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Green will be penciled into the starting lineup, next to LeBron – in the event that the Lakers move forward with starting him at the point guard position.

Not only is Green a great two-way player, but he also excels without the ball in his hands. And on a star-studded team like the Lakers, it was imperative for this team to add players that fit that role. Green isn’t the type of player that most fan bases will get excited for, but he’s also the player that every championship team needs on its roster.

After missing out on Kawhi Leonard, the Lakers did well by falling back to Danny Green who will end up being a productive player for the team this season.
