With the 2019-20 NBA season slowly approaching, here are the top 10 point guards in the game right now
We’re blessed to see some of the best point guards go toe-to-toe on a nightly basis in the NBA. With the likes of James Harden, Steph Curry, Damian Lillard, and Russell Westbrook, among others, it’s always exciting when you can see these players work their magic on the hardwood, whether it’s by taking over a game and sinking countless jumpers or facilitating the ball to teammates.
Having a quality point guard is a must for any team that wants to win a championship. They control the tempo of the game. From usually being the leading scorer on the team, the point guard is more often than not, a very talented playmaker as well, using their basketball IQ to find teammates with crafty passes.
The following list (of the best point guards in the NBA today) is based on statistics from the 2018-19 season, along with overall career accomplishments and the players’ impact on their respective team. Rookies won’t be included in this list, as they haven’t actually played any minutes in the NBA yet.
