6. De’Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings

Marvin Bagley’s teammate, De’Aaron Fox already had a break out season a year ago in his sophomore campaign but I wouldn’t be surprised to see another leap this coming year. Fox could be the fastest player in the league today and he uses his insane quickness very well both in transition and in getting to the rim. Fox averaged 17 points and seven assists per game on 46 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent shooting from 3-point range.

What really opened up his offensive game last year was his improved playmaking as he became one of the best distributors in the league. His consistency and decision making still need work and that’s why I expect another breakout this season from the Kings’ point guard.

With an improving supporting cast around him, coupled with another year of experience, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Fox flirt with a 20/10 season while being in the conversation for a spot in the All-Star game. However, being in the Western Conference, that could be difficult for him to break in. With a dynamic duo of Fox and Bagley, along with other solid pieces flanking those two young players, the Kings have a very bright future.
