After a chaotic 2019 NBA offseason, we rank the top 10 teams heading into the 2019-20 season
In the matter of just one summer, everything can change in the NBA. With free agency concluded, it’s time to see which new-look teams have a real shot at contention and who from last season still remains elite in the Association.
As the league took a facelift, we will re-rank the top 10 teams in the league – many of which will be in title contention during the 2019-20 season.
10. Brooklyn Nets
In a matter of less than a decade, the Brooklyn Nets went from nothing to everything. In just one day, the Nets signed Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and DeAndre Jordan, solidifying themselves as championship contenders upon Durant’s return from injury (which will likely keep him out for the majority, if not the entire, 2019-20 campaign).
With players like Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddie, Jarrett Allen, and Joe Harris providing various skillsets all to benefit the teams new big three, the Nets are looking like the team to beat entering the 2020’s when everyone’s all healthy and put together.
It’ll be a long wait before we truly see this team at its best but it is nothing but exciting times ahead for a Nets team that not too long ago was seen as the joke of the NBA.
