Indiana Pacers
Can one of Malcolm Brogdon or Myles Turner make the jump to star status next to Victor Oladipo?
The Indiana Pacers quietly had one of the better offseasons. While they may not have landed Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard or Kyrie Irving, the Pacers did get better by adding Malcolm Brogdon, TJ Warren, and Jeremy Lamb this summer. However, if the Pacers are going to make any noise in the Eastern Conference this season, they’re going to need one of their young budding stars to step up in a big way.
Assuming Victor Oladipo returns to his all-star status when he returns from injury (which could be a few weeks into the regular season), the Pacers need a No. 2 guy to step up not only in Oladipo’s absence but also to produce next to him when he returns. That could either come in the way of Brogdon, who has been magnificent through the first few years of his career with the Bucks or Myles Turner.
Indiana is an interesting team that no one is really considering to be a real threat in the Eastern Conference this season. However, they have enough talent to give the top teams some real issues.
