Milwaukee Bucks
Can Giannis build off his MVP season?
The scary part about what the Milwaukee Bucks accomplished last season has to be that they could very well just be getting started. Even though they fell in the Eastern Conference Finals at the hands of the eventual NBA champion Raptors, the Bucks made huge steps as a franchise.
Heading into the playoffs last season, it was easy to question this team. They didn’t have much playoff experience and had not made it out of the first round with Giannis as the team’s leader. Heading into 2019-20, that is no longer a talking point. Or, a legitimate one.
The big question for the Bucks this season revolves around whether Giannis Antetokounmpo can build off his MVP season from a year ago. Giannis was sensational, both in the regular season and in the playoffs, and nearly carried his team to the NBA Finals. If Giannis can take the next step as an individual, it’ll make this team that much more explosive.
The one area in his game that could use improvement, that many still question, is his shooting. Giannis isn’t a great 3-point shooter and struggles with consistency from outside the paint. If he can improve in that area of his game, he’s pretty much unstoppable. As the Bucks would be.
