Utah Jazz

Can the Jazz compete with the Lakers, Clippers, and Rockets?

The Utah Jazz quietly had a great offseason. Even though the team lost Ricky Rubio, the Jazz rebounded by adding Mike Conley, Bojan Bogdanovic, Jeff Green, Emmanuel Mudiay and Ed Davis during the summer. They added depth, while also adding a veteran point guard who will be a great leader in the locker room and a great mentor for Donovan Mitchell. And don’t overlook the addition of Bogdanovic who is a great scorer and was invaluable for the Pacers last season when Victor Oladipo went down due to injury.

If Mitchell can take the next step as a star and assuming Rudy Gobert continues to be a force on the defensive end, you can make the argument that this team might have enough firepower to keep up with the likes of the Lakers, Clippers, and Rockets in the Western Conference.

But that will be the biggest question mark for the Jazz this season. If the Jazz can avoid a rough start, unlike they did last season, they will be a factor come playoff time.
