Jonathan Isaac, Orlando Magic

Drafted sixth overall in 2017, Jonathan Isaac was meant to be great from the very start. Unfortunately for him and the Magic, injuries kept him out several times his rookie year slowing his progress in developing into the player he could very well become next season.

Isaac’s athleticism mimics that of his Orlando frontcourt companion Aaron Gordon who all NBA fans know is a freak of nature. With the Magic now having signed Al-Farouq Aminu, and having drafted Mo Bamba prior to the 2018-19 season, the team is preparing to go full steam ahead with Isaac as their starting small forward.

He showed exceptional improvement in shot pe rcentage last season shooting just under 43 percent from the field. Isaac also possesses a decent shot from behind the arc shooting a career average of 32 percent from downtown. His minutes are only going to grow meaning more time for him to put some even better numbers on the board.

Orlando lacks real talent in their backcourt giving him even more of an opportunity to handle the ball longer. If the Magic are able to utilize Isaac as a shooting forward like his stats show he is able to do, then he’ll be able to maximize his potential to be a phenomenal player.
