Dejounte Murray, San Antonio Spurs

Another Murray with talent but many lingering questions. Dejounte Murray was a breakout candidate last season before tearing his ACL prior to the start. His injury kept him out for the whole year, but now he’s back and ready to prove he’s an All-Star caliber player.

The San Antonio Spurs could use some help having just barely made the playoffs the past two seasons and Murray’s defensive skills could provide the boost the team needs to remain competitive. However, an ACL tear is an injury some players never truly recover from which leaves a lot of speculation in if Murray is still the same player he once was.

Perfectly healthy, the 22-year-old is filled to the brim with promise, but there always lies the doubt after an injury like that. Hopefully, he can come back and show everyone he’s better than he ever was before, but only time will tell. The Spurs are a class-act organization; let’s see if they can give their young guard a chance for redemption.
